Masjid Mamoor

This is a mosque sacred to Muslims living in Mannady area in Chennai. It was first built in 18th centuary.Later it was reconstructed in granite by the Nawab of Arcot's family in the late 19th centuray. Recent architectural additions are the unique two-pillar supports and the outer walls. Over five thousand worshippers can be accom-modated in this mosque at a time.
